Hilltops Take PFC Title In OT Over Thunder

REGINA – The Regina Thunder fell 30-27 in overtime to the Saskatoon Hilltops at Mosaic Stadium on Sunday.

A last second rally by the Saskatoon Hilltops sent the PFC championship game into over overtime. 

The Thunder had first possession in extra time and drove deep into Hilltop territory allowing Shawn Green to boot a 22-yard field goal and give Regina the lead 27-24. 

Saskatoon ended the game on their overtime drive when quarterback Griffin Sander found Isaiah Vallerruten on a crossing patten for the game winning touchdown.  

As PFC champions, the Hilltops will now host the Okanagan Sun in the 2025 Canadian Bowl on Sunday November 9th.  

Jackson Harnett led the Thunder rushing attack with 71 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. 

Quarterback Adam Mosher was 15 of 20 for 226 yards. The Thunder top receiver was Tanner Donovel who grabbed six receptions for 115 yards. 

On defence linebacker Zach Cloutier made five defensive tackles, added two assists and two special team tackles. Kenten Effa had four defensive stops and seven assists.
