Wednesday Commentary: Random Thoughts

(Listen daily for the RP Commentary on All New Hits 98 & LTD Radio)
It’s Random Thoughts Wednesday! Let’s have a look under the hood …
#1 – There’s just something about the Leafs, isn’t there? With Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs well underway, Toronto’s stolen the headlines this week; first with the naming of John Chayka and Mats Sundin as GM and President, and then winning Tuesday night’s Draft Lottery, and the chance to take Gavin McKenna #1 overall.
Fans and some media are screaming that the lottery’s rigged. It’s not, but nights like Tuesday make it hard to convince people otherwise.
#2 – Thanks to RP Show viewers for their patience this week while we go through some maintenance and system upgrades. I’ve long viewed the show like a sports franchise, or league, but even they get an off-season. We do not. It seems we’re back to normal today.
#3 – I’ve officially reached “CFL rookie camps are opening already?” years old. I haven’t received any info from the league, but saw it somewhere online.
#4 – If you’re one of those who gets sick of the NFL machine, you should relish the downtime right now. Their minicamps are on the horizon, then they’ll be off till the start of training camps in July. I know it feels like they’re a 12-month, 365=operation, but they are not.
And #5 – The Blue Jays lost in Tampa Tuesday night which means they won’t win this midweek series against the Rays. As I’ve noted in other commentaries, MLB-watching is hard to come by for me but I’m checking the scores and standings.
At nine games off the pace, the Jays had better pick it up!
That’s today’s Rod Pedersen Commentary.

The leafs have 2 playoff rounds in 10 years adding an 18 year old isn’t gonna change anything.
