RIDERS SIGN JON RYAN

RodPedersen.com has learned the Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed NFL/CFL veteran punter Jon Ryan.

The 37-year old Regina product participated in the Riders Florida minicamp last month.
Ryan spent 13 seasons in the NFL with Green Bay, Seattle and Buffalo after a 2-year stint with the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The UofR Rams grad has long stated that he’d like to finish his pro football career with his hometown Roughriders, but also recently said he’d like to play another 10 seasons.
3DownNation’s Justin Dunk reports Ryan will be the CFL’s highest-paid punter at $100,000 per season: https://3downnation.com/2019/05/14/riders-make-reginas-jon-ryan-the-highest-paid-punter-in-the-cfl/
In a related move, there were reports Monday evening that Saskatchewan has released veteran punter Josh Bartel.
