BEDARD WINS PATS 3-STAR AWARD

REGINA – Connor Bedard is the Regina Pats three star award winner for the 2020-21 season.

The 15-year-old rookie was announced Friday as the winner, after being named a star in five of his 15 games this season for the Pats inside the Subway WHL Hub.

Bedard, who was named the Pats rookie of the year on Thursday, was a four-time first star (March 12, 29 and April 6, 9), combining for seven goals and five assists in the quartet of games. He was also the game’s third star March 17 when he had a goal and an assist.

The rookie was one of just two Pats to have multiple first star wins this season, as Cole Dubinsky took the top nightly honour on April 18 and 23.

The final Pats 2020-21 season award – the Player of the Year – will be announced Monday, May 17. The 2020-21 WHL Awards will be presented beginning Monday, May 31 with WHL Division All-Stars and Awards, followed by overall WHL Awards beginning Monday, June 7.
