PATS READY FOR RIDER PRIDE NIGHT

The Regina Pats are going green Wednesday with “Rider Pride Night” presented by Mosaic when the Pats host the Moose Jaw Warriors.  Tickets are still available for fans to help turn the Brandt Centre into a “Sea of Green” and cheer on the Roughriders as they push toward the 101st Grey Cup.

The team will be sporting commemorative green and white jerseys featuring a combined Pats and Riders crest, both team logos on the shoulders and a Saskatchewan provincial flag on the back.  The jerseys will be available for silent auction on the Brandt Centre concourse throughout the night.

Roughrider President and CEO Jim Hopson, centre Dominic Picard and wide receiver Rob Bagg will be at centre ice for a ceremonial puck drop and other members of the Riders will be in attendance at the game.

With Rider Pride Night on a Wednesday, hot dogs are 2-for-1 at Brandt Centre concessions all night.  For individual tickets, visit Ticketmaster.ca or the Brandt Centre Box Office.  For group tickets call the Pats Office at 306-337-1538.

Would anticipate the Saskatchewan Roughriders professional Football Franchise reciprocating and acknowledging the Regina Pats (Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry) onto their very own jersey colors and logo somehow. (Remembrance Day soon). Pats wearing green to appease a professional football organization sad. Breaking from tradition of their very own time honored Institution, colors, logo, just seems wrong. Hope It's not just another merchandise money grab and self promotion at the expense of a Junior A Hockey club by the CFL Roughriders as It would be perceived as a new all time low with no shame and just pathetic.

pats asked the riders to partner on this, riders are accomodating the pats. ask yourself who stands to gain from this brand partnership. do the riders need more exposure to 3000 fans at the brandt center, or were the pats smart enough to associate their club with the only major sports brand in sask? good deal for both, way more to fain by the pats.

To answer all your question's, it was a pathetically lame ass Idea on both parties. Roughriders, stick to football, Pats, likewise with hockey. Pathetic !

Riders accomodating the Pats Wrong, other way around. Pats organization accomodating/appeasing (costs Involved/ jerseys, league approval, promotion time, etc, etc) a so called professional football franchise by deviating from their very own historic team tradition and franchise statement mandate.

I dont get this one as Hopson plays god on this. The regina faithful have been painstakingly been voicing their displeasure with the current regime by staying away in droves and letting the Parker's face a certain withering of the organization. Who is Hospon to step in and reward the Parkers with exposure and publicity? I just think the Pats should be allowed to die a slow death until the Parkers move them to someone who cares.
