RIDERS’ MAKANA HENRY FINED

The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced on Wednesday:

Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman Makana Henry was fined for unnecessary contact inside the bench area on Ottawa REDBLACKS quarterback Dominique Davis.

Edmonton Eskimos defensive lineman Nick Usher was fined for using the crown of his helmet to make contact with the head of BC Lions quarterback Mike Reilly.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive lineman Eddy Wilson II was fined for a tourist hit on Toronto Argonauts kicker Ronnie Pfeffer.

As per league policy, the amounts of the player fines were not disclosed.

In the world of just plain dumb football stunts. This rates right up at the top! Why try and stick your shoulder into the competing QB when he runs out of bounds and you are a sideline player? It’s not like every Camera and several referees eyes are on the ball carrying QB.
The Redblacks went on to score points in that same drive after Henry’s penalty. In a game like this when every point counts.
If I was the Riders HC or GM I would sit Henry a game. Let him stew in his own ridiculousness.
