- Rod, Dupes and The Silver Fox Kelly Remple opened the show with The Rollout for Flooring Superstore. They paused the Grey Cup talk to discuss the biggest news in Canada: Mike Babcock’s firing by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Remple worked with Babcock with the Moose Jaw Warriors so he had several thoughts, as did Dupont since he’s an avid Leafs fan. Remple said he’s surprised it’s such big news around here but Rod countered with the fact that Babcock is a Saskatchewan product and has a lot of fans here.
- Sirius/XM NHL Radio’s Matthew Barnaby joined the show from Toronto with more on the Babcock firing, and explained why former NHL’er Mike Commodore went off on Babcock on Twitter. Barney also discussed the struggles of the Flames and the resurgence of the Arizona Coyotes.
- CFL greats Nik Lewis and Wes Cates joined the bunker for Grey Cup talk. Nik is taking the Ticats while Wes is going with the Bombers. They also talked about the pressures on players during Grey Cup week, and shared their own experiences. The panel also debated the best coordinators in the CFL. Nik thinks Calgary assistant coach Ryan Dinwiddie may be in line to be the next CFL head coach while the guys also discussed the future of Stamps assistant coach Marc Mueller, a Regina product.
- The guys debated the new CFL on TSN contract extension and the idea of combining Vanier Cup and Grey Cup weekends as early as 2020 in Saskatchewan.
- Alouettes receiver Devier Posey joined the show from Grey Cup Week and explained why he’s such a big fan of the RP Show. He also reflected on his 2017 Grey Cup win with Toronto and the future of the Alouettes under Khari Jones. Devier is in Calgary for CFLPA events but said he won’t be staying for the game.
- The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was Who will win the 107th Grey Cup? Over 60% of respondents voted for Hamilton over Winnipeg.
