It was Smith’s second highest scoring output this season as he finished the game with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Ottawa forward Deng Adel’s 10 points in the fourth quarter kept the BlackJacks’ franchise record win streak alive in an 88-82 victory over the Brampton Honey Badgers at CAA Centre on Wednesday.  The BlackJacks extend their streak to seven straight wins as they tighten their grip on the top spot in the CEBL’s Eastern Conference with four games remaining in the regular season.

The Edmonton Elks will look to win a first game at home since 2019 when they host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to kick off Week 6 C-F-L action tonight. The Toronto Blue Jays have one more day off before returning from the M-L-B all-star break. Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Junior had a successful weekend by winning the Home Run Derby, pitcher Jordan Romano, meanwhile, had to exit the all-star game with lower back tightness. The Blue Jays are third in the American League East with a 50-and-41 record and open a three-game home series against the Arizona Diamondbacks tomorrow.
