TUESDAY RUNDOWN: BACK IN THE SADDLE!

We got back to work after Memorial Day Weekend with an old school RP Show broadcast on Episode #1,009 of your favourite daytime sportstalk show on WQEE Radio, podcast and streaming! Here’s the rundown:

  • RP and Moose Dupont kicked things off with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Vegas finished off Dallas with a 6-0 victory in Game 6 of the WCF, 2) The Golden Knights now go up against the Florida Panthers for the Stanley Cup and the fellas read off the Game Notes and series preview (also the Washington Capitals have a new head coach), 3) Should the WNBA be considered a “major” sports league as some would suggest?, 4) Miami will face Denver in the NBA Finals, 5) The Blue Jays open a midweek series at home against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night, and 6) Randoms including the Memorial Cup and NLL Final.
  • Along with the viewers, the panel went through all of the CFL Preseason Week B games and previewed Week C. The Riders got a thumbs-up for their 30-27 home exhibition victory over BC.
  • The daily Key Auto Group poll question was: Who will win the Stanley Cup – Florida or Vegas? At press time, 62% voted for the Panthers.
  • RP Show hockey analyst Sarina Taylor joined the show in Hour 2 for a deep dive on the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Panthers Fever in South Florida, the Memorial Cup, an assessment of NHL TV intermission panels, and the legacy of Don Cherry. We all our made our Stanley Cup Final picks and Rod and Sarina are taking Vegas in six while Moose forecast Florida in seven.
