TUESDAY RUNDOWN: JORDAN EBERLE JOINS FOR A HOCKEY SHOW!

Hockey’s all the buzz at the moment but we dabbled in a little football on Episode #385 of The RP Show – Canada’s Daytime Sports Talk Show! Here’s the rundown:

  • Rod and Dupes got it going with The Warmup for Four Seasons Sports Palace discussing these Quick Six show topics: 1) Will Chris Streveler start for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday?, 2) Monday at the WJHC saw Germany beat Slovakia 4-3 (OT) and Sweden blank Austria 4-0, 3) Bills Beatdown on Monday Night Football – Buffalo 38 New England 9, 4) The Edmonton Oilers re-sign Ochapawace, SK’s Ethan Bear, 5) Will the Eagles fire Head Coach Doug Pederson?, and 6) The Argos release linebacker Jeff Knox Jr. RP spoke to both sides and explained their feelings on the transaction.
  • The Silver Fox Kelly Remple joined the bunker in Block 2 and examined the Streveler situation in Arizona. He said with the L.A. Rams starting rookie QB John Wolford, the Cards definitely have a chance to win despite any perceived shortcomings of Streveler. The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was: Can the Cardinals win with Chris Streveler? At press time 59% of respondents said no.
  • Sportsnet 620 Vancouver’s Joey Kenward joined the show for an expansive look at the World Juniors and said it’s too early to predict a winner. He and the Silver Fox agreed that it’s a good thing that the field is so wide open. Joey also discussed the Return To Play of the Canucks in Vancouver and said the entire province has their fingers crossed. He also delved into the Canucks’ chances in the Canadian Division, and examined their off-season moves. As the former Voice of the Swift Current Broncos and Vancouver Giants, Kenward offered his thoughts on a WHL Return To Play. Fingers are crossed there too.
  • It was divulged that Kelly Remple was at one time a promoter for the WWF and viewers were eager to hear his stories on brushes with the Hart family, Hulk Hogan and many more pro wrestling greats.
  • Hour 2 was simulcast on Game+ TV and Facebook Live and after re-upping the Quick Six, we were joined by New York Islanders star forward Jordan Eberle. The Regina Pats great reflected on the Islanders Stanley Cup Playoff run in the bubble, the outlook for the 2020-21 season, and his best World Juniors memories with Team Canada. He also called Rod a “traitor” for wearing a Moose Jaw Warriors pullover during the interview!
