TUESDAY RUNDOWN: STAMPS & CANUCKS TALK, DUNK AND MORE!

We had more breaking news and Canadian sports analysis on Tuesday’s Episode #551 of The RP Show – Canada’s Daytime Sports Talkshow! Here’s the rundown:

  • RP and Moose Dupont kicked it off with The Warmup for EECOL Electric covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Week 3 CFL Power Rankings have Winnipeg #1 and Ottawa #9, 2) Rod’s prediction for the NHL Pacific Division standings are: Vegas, Edmonton, Anaheim, Vancouver, Calgary, Seattle, L.A. and San Jose, 3) The Vegas Raiders will require proof of vaccination for fans this season, 4) The Blue Jays visit the Nationals on Tuesday, 5) Tim Tebow is released by Jacksonville, and 6) The Reds & Cubs will meet in next year’s Field of Dreams game.
  • Vancouver broadcaster Jeff Paterson joined the show for a west coast sports report. He reported Canucks GM Jim Benning has been very active this off-season but feels they’ll be hard-pressed to finish as high as 4th, as Rod predicted. Jeff favours the Canucks forwards and goalie Thatcher Demo but feels their blueline is suspect. He reported there’s a lot of buzz around the Seattle/Vancouver rivalry which has been years in the making. Paterson’s covering the Lions too and previewed Thursday’s match-up between Edmonton and BC at BC Place. He sees the Lions winning this one.
  • The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was: Which is Canada’s Game of the Week in Week 3 of the CFL season – EDM/BC, MTL/CGY, WPG/TOR, OTT/SK? At press time the Bombers & Argos were leading.
  • In the Hour 2 Second Half Kickoff for CORR Grain we discussed more on the potential sale of the Stampeders and Rod’s latest tip on the story is that the potential buyer has an XFL connection. The hosts wondered if it could be The Rock? Viewers were skeptical of the sale and questioned Rod’s sources which touched off a 15-minute Rod’s Rant for Bronco Plumbing & Heating!
  • Next up was 3DownNation CFL Insider Justin Dunk who said the injury to Calgary QB Bo Levi Mitchell is serious and we later learned Bo’s going on the 6-game Injured List with a broken leg. Regarding the struggles of the 0-2 Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Justin said it begins and ends with Hamilton’s offensive line, particularly the tackle spots. The guys also discussed Zach Collaros’s 6-0 record as Winnipeg’s starting pivot and agreed Zach is the Rodney Dangerfield of the CFL (can’t get any respect).
  • The final two segments were devoted to Viewer Takeover and there was a lengthy discussion on Rod’s Pacific Division prediction and more on all the CFL news. Rod said the bump in CFL TV ratings should be celebrated because future revenue will come from TV and betting.

Seen;
Riders starting qb hobbling gate off the field towards the end of the game. What’s wrong with the head coach with a victory locked in hand keeping the starter on the field? Ridiculous game decisions.

Please tell me its not true, riders going after tim tebow to sign him up. Thats all we need around here, more sprinkling of bs. There’s enough of that going around here during the federal election campaign starting with Toodou and that sprinkle one who starts for the roughriders at qb.
