- NFL/CFL alum DeQuinn Evans joined the show from his home in Tacoma, WA. The 2014 Grey Cup champion discussed his tough upbringing in Compton, CA and being a member of the famed Gridiron Gang prison football team while he was just a teen. He discussed being incarcerated four times during his teen years and how he turned his life around to make it to the NFL, spending three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. DQ talked about how he now mentors youth and young football players and Rod mentioned, “I’ve never met a strong person with an easy past”.

The guys discussed the immediate future of the AHL, and J.C.’s career. The former Kamloops Blazer and Canadian World Junior said his favourite road city is Austin, Texas. He also said it’s a shame if the AHL season ends, as he’s on pace for a career year but basically because hockey players just love to play.
