VEGAS SIGNS ESTEVAN’S PACHAL, SENDS DOWN LESCHYSHYN
Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, September 20, that the team has signed defenseman Brayden Pachal to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Pachal (pronounced PUH-hall) was invited to the Golden Knights training camp and also participated in the team’s development camp in June. The Estevan, Saskatchewan native played in the Western Hockey League for the Prince Albert Raiders, appearing in 164 games over the last three seasons. Last year, as the captain for the Raiders, he finished with 51 points (15 G, 36 A) and led all players in the WHL in plus/minus with a plus-76. He also helped lead the Raiders to a WHL championship and an appearance in the Memorial Cup.
The team also announced the following roster transactions:
Paul Cotter, Lucas Elvenes, Ben Jones, Jake Leschyshyn, Jermaine Loewen, Tye McGinn, Gage Quinney, Jonas Røndbjerg and Pachal have all been reassigned from the Vegas Golden Knights training camp to the Chicago Wolves.
