LeBron James had 40 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, and the Cleveland Cavaliers held on for a 96-91 victory over the Golden State Warriors for a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals. The Warriors trimmed a 20-point deficit down to one with about 2-and-a-half minutes left, but that was as close as they’d get.

The Regina Red Sox homecoming was a successful one. Close to 450 fans watched the Red Sox improve their record to 5 and 3 with a 4-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Millers.
Tyler Shumpert pitched 6.2 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts to pick up the win. Kendal Daniels came on in relief before giving way to Skyler Shaw-Fuss in the 9th. For his three out effort, Shaw-Fuss picked up the save.
Regina jumped out to an early lead on Moose Jaw starter Tyler Franek scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning. The Sox added an insurance run in the 4th when Henry Rowland scored on a passed ball. Moose Jaw battled back with 1 run in the 8th inning.
Bryson Shelton continues to shine for the Red Sox as he contributed 2 hits and picked up his team high 8th RBI of the season.
Moose Jaw won the first meeting between these two clubs earlier in the season with a 9-4 win.
The Sox and Millers will be back on the diamond Wednesday night at Currie Field. First pitch is 7:05 pm.

Make it seven straight for Toronto. Edwin Encarnacion hit a walkoff home run in the ninth inning as the Blue Jays edged the Miami Marlins 4-3 for their seventh win in a row. Toronto starter Mark Buehrle pitched six innings, giving up two runs and six hits while striking out three.

Chris Heston has the first no-hitter of the Major League season. The 27-year-old rookie went the distance, allowing only three baserunners as the San Fransisco Giants beat the New York Mets 5-0. Haren also tacked on his first two career RBI’s with a single.

Around the AL East, the New York Yankees extended their win streak to seven by beating Washington 6-1, Baltimore scored on a wild pitch to beat Boston 1-nothing and Tampa Bay was crushed by the LA Angels 8-2. Toronto sits four games back of the Yankees for first in the division.

Coach Bruce Boudreau will return to the Anaheim Ducks next season, although he’ll be without one of his assistants. Assistant coach Brad Lauer was fired after general manager Bob Murray completed his post-season evaluation of the three-time Pacific Division champion Ducks. Lauer had been on Boudreau’s staff since their arrival in November 2011.

The City of Glendale has called for a special meeting today to determine whether to end an arena lease agreement with the Arizona Coyotes, further clouding the team’s future in the desert. The meeting agenda calls for the city council to consider whether to cancel the professional services and arena lease agreement between Glendale and IceArizona, which co-owns the Coyotes with Andrew Barroway.
