THURSDAY SHOW RECAP
Rod missed episode #14 of the show as he spoke at his Mom’s funeral in Milestone, SK. The Silver Fox Kelly Remple, Leader Post columnist Rob Vanstone, guest Peter Loubardias and Dupes all offered nice tributes to Judi Pedersen and offered support for Rod.
Other items from the show:
- The Silver Fox WENT OFF on the CFLPA’s decision to appeal the 2-game suspension to Simoni Lawrence for his head hit on Zach Collaros in Week 1. Remple said if the Players Association is going to defend Lawrence, then Collaros should ask for his union dues back.
- The guys offered their predictions on Thursday night’s Riders-RedBlacks game. Dupont picked the Riders to win by 3 points. Vanstone predicts a long year for the Roughriders.
- They went deep on hockey talk when Loubardias joined the show via video chat from Mississauga, ON. The guys previewed this weekend’s NHL Draft, and also agreed that Corey Perry will find another home in the NHL after being bought out by Anaheim this week.
- Loubardias admitted the outlook looks hopeless for his beloved Minnesota Vikings, who haven’t appeared in a Super Bowl since 1978 and likely won’t get close for another good many years.
- Dupes tee’d up Friday’s show which includes several Hall of Famers including Rider great Gene Makowsky, Flames great Theo Fleury, the Twitterless John Frenzy and CTV’s Darrell Romuld (who is of Norwegian descent). The Rod Pedersen show continues to be HUGE in Norway.
