VIKINGS RELEASE BRETT JONES
EDEN PRAIRIE, MN – Vikings announced on Tuesday that the team has signed Josh Doctson and released OL Brett Jones.
Josh Doctson (6-2, 205) joins the Vikings after being released by Washington on Saturday, August 31. The fourth-year pro has appeared in 33 career games with 26 starts, all with Washington, while posting 81 career receptions for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns. Doctson was selected 22nd overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by Washington, where he was teammates with Vikings QB Kirk Cousins from 2016-17. The Mansfield, Texas, native was teammates with Vikings practice squad T Aviante Collins at TCU from 2013-15.

*Jones, a 28-year old Weyburn, SK product, is entering his fifth season in the NFL in 2019. He spent 2018 with the Vikings after spending 2015-2017 with the NY Giants. The U of R Rams grad spent the 2013, 2014 CFL seasons with the Calgary Stampeders where we won a Grey Cup in ‘14.
