REGINA — Mosaic Stadium was home sweet home for the Toronto Argonauts on Friday night.
In a designated “home game” for Toronto – who’s been displaced by the World Cup at their normal home field of BMO Field in Toronto – the Argonauts “hosted” the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Mosaic Stadium.
And Chad Kelly and Co. truly made themselves at home, upending the Riders 40-34 to hand the reigning Grey Cup champions their first loss of the 2026 CFL season (2-1).
Kelly was particularly comfortable, throwing for 321 yards, two touchdowns and one interception as the Boatmen went to 2-1. He is now 4-0 against Saskatchewan career. Kelly’s counterpart Trevor Harris tossing for 409 yards for the Green & White, with two TDs and one INT.
The Double Blue was in control throughout, leading 10-0, 20-17, and 30-24 by quarter, and they won the turnover battle 2-1. The attendance was listed at 25.035.
In the absence of power back A.J. Ouellette for Saskatchewan, replacement Quali Conley was the team’s leading rusher with 50 yards while KeeSean Johnson was the leading receiver with 112 yards.
Kicker Alex Hale went 2-2 on field goals.
Saskatchewan visits Ottawa in Week 5 while Toronto visits Calgary.

I don’t know what was off about that game. There was the special teams touch down and Chad Kelly just knifes the ball in for some big plays. A great air raid game. Trevor Harris is resembling Kent Austin with the yardage. Missing AJ Oulette was a huge difference. There are RBs but that guy makes the other team sit in a cold tub this morning. Oh well.
