WINQUIST NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The Western Hockey League announced today that Everett Silvertips’ forward Josh Winquist is the Denny’s WHL Player of the Week for the week ending October 27, 2013.    

Winquist recorded seven points on one goal and six assists to go with a +2 rating over two games in the past week, leading the Silvertips to two victories in that span.

Winquist, a 20-year-old from St. Albert, AB, currently sits tied for eighth in WHL scoring with nine goals and 22 points through 15 games for Everett.  The 6’0″, 180-lb left wing is in his fifth and final season in the Western Hockey League, and has amassed 63 goals and 145 points in 248 career regular-season games for the Silvertips.  Winquist was selected in the third round, 66th overall, by Everett in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.
